A coalition of development companies called Infusion Health has been chosen by the Province to design, finance and build the new expansions to Kelowna General and Vernon Jubilee Hospitals.
Kelowna is getting a new emergency ward and outpatient facility while Vernon gets a new diagnostic and treatment building.
Interior Health Okanagan Area Chief Operating Officer, Joanne Konnert, says they will now spend the next two to three months to negotiate a final contract with Infusion.
Konnert expects that contract to be finalized by the summer with construction started by the fall at the latest.
