Jennifer Aniston’s FRIEND With Benefits
Rumors have been flying around for the last few weeks about Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer. Although they have not been confirmed as another Hollywood “Supercouple” yet, there are photos from this weekend that may just confirm their convergence. Even if they’re an item, I’m not sure they’ll ever come close to receiving the same coverage that Brangelina got, or even some of the other “Supercouples”. I admit it – I like her, but I know many who don’t, and even more who don’t care much for Mr. Mayer. But who knows? For now, we’ll call them Friends With Benefits.

Speed Racer Crashes and Burns
What happens when you spend almost 150 million to make a movie, then another 100 million to promote it, and it only takes in 20 million in its opening weekend? Speed Racer happens. And heads are gonna roll. Speed Racer is the first big flop of the season, and Warner Brothers’ studio honchos are very disappointed. It’s a well-known fact in Hollywood when a movie tanks this big, the axe is going to fall. Usually, the folks on the lower rung of the corporate ladder take the blame, and unfortunately it’s bound to happen at Warner for this disaster. Note to the studios: an action movie without a story is still not a movie. Learn this.
...Indiana Jones to Follow?
Okay, one bad review is not going to kill a movie. If you like, read it here:
Indiana Jones review
Bad review notwithstanding, if the trailers are any indication, can the new Indy movie really be that good? I think the trailers for the new Indiana Jones flick are really bad, and don’t do anything to bring me into the theatre. Steven Spielberg is also going to great lengths to make sure nobody sees the movie before he wants them to. Regardless of the movie’s quality, I think Indy will do big box office. But to be truly deemed successful, the movie will have to be good. I’m not too sure about this film, to be honest.
There’s a really interesting story today in the New York Times about Spielberg’s battle with the Internet over word of mouth for the film. Read it here:

Jamie-Lynn Spears: Leave Her Alone, Y’all
Yeah, JL seems to be following in her sister’s footsteps. And, she’s not exactly the role model Nickelodeon had in mind when they signed her. But the paps just won’t leave Jamie-Lynn alone.
In other Spears news, be sure to watch sister Britney on tonight’s How I Met Your Mother. Should be good! For a video preview of Britney showing off her “lovely lady lumps”, click here:

Anyway, as for Jamie-Lynn, I’d hate to live my life this way without any privacy.

NKOTB: The Wrong Stuff
Yup, the New Kids on the Block are back. Their new single is called Summertime, and it’s pretty bad. I’ll admit: there were a few NKOTB songs that were pretty good, back in the LATE 80s! Listen for yourself, but doesn’t this song remind you of the boyband one-hit-wonder LFO song called Summer Girls? Uggg.

Amanda Loses Million, Finds Love Instead
Last night on the Survivor finale, Amanda Kimmel once again blew her chance at a million dollars by messing up at final tribal council. Here is the show’s best player, and for the second consecutive time, she somehow manages to erase all her hard-earned work by failing to convince the jury to give her the million. I’m not happy with Parvati Shallow (seriously, that’s her last name, I can’t make this up) winning, but I’ll admit she played a good game (and that she looked great at the Reunion show).
Amanda somehow found a way to one-up Parv, at least in the love department. She and Ozzy announced that their relationship that began on the island is still going strong. No word yet as to whether Parvati and Natalie will explore the girl-crush they have for each other (didn’t you love Natalie’s “I want you” statement to Parvati at the final tribal?).
Some nice pics of Ozzy and Amanda, along with the rest of the cast, can be found here:
