Snow, cold and plenty of spring frost.
They are all factors that have affected Okanagan Fruit Growers, but not as badly as those in Washington State.
Glen Cross, President of one of the Okanagan's Fruit Co-ops, says a shortage of fruit from Washington State could result from the early season damage, and that will mean higher prices for Okanagan fruit and more money for producers in the Valley.
"Anyone that has a crop out there, my recommendation is keep extremely good care it because I feel that this year, prices might be almost record," says Cross.
Okanagan growers have suffered damage to apricot, cherry and peach trees, but Cross says there will still be a pretty good crop of fruit.
