Kelowna nursing students will be working the grill next weekend.

A fund raising car wash is planned to take place Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the KLO campus on KLO Road.

All funds raised will be donated to the downtown Kelowna street clinic, Outreach Urban Health Centre, which provides health-care programs and services that meet the needs of the people in Kelowna and the surrounding area who don’t normally access the regular system of health care.

This includes services such as:

• Mental health counseling and referral
• public health, immunization, information, testing
• general health assessment and wound care
• alcohol and drug counseling and referral
• social work counseling, case management and referral
• needle exchange
• immunizations, STD and TB testing.
