Update: The portion of Highway 1 closed by the crash has been partially reopened to single lane, alternating traffic.


Part of Highway 1 in Tappen, near Salmon Arm, is closed indefinitely following a motor vehicle accident.

Sicamous Traffic Services are investigating the crash which occurred Wednesday morning around 9.

No other details are available.

A bypass route on Highway 97 from Vernon to Falkland and Kamloops has been opened.
