It was a rather tame long weekend.
Kelowna RCMP say there were no policing issues related to the Centre of Gravity event held in Kelowna City Park.
Constable Julie Rattee says organizers did an excellent job in planning the event.
“There were no reported ejections or arrests made as a result of the event,“ says Rattee.
She says with respect to the newly installed Taxi Stands in the downtown core, the local taxi drivers did make use of them.
“This appeared to be successful in moving individuals away from the local nightclubs during the bar flush. There were a few infractions over the course of the weekend, however, we are pleased with the overall turnaround and the cooperation of those drivers.”
In total, there were 875 calls for service and 111 people were taken into custody over the weekend.
