A crash between a pickup and a motorcycle yesterday afternoon has left a man dead.

It happened just before 3 p.m. at the intersection of Daimler Drive and Highway 97 as a 71-year-old woman was making a left off the highway.

The eastbound 36 year old Peachland motorcyclist was unable to stop and slammed into the passenger side of the truck.

He died of head injuries in KGH.

Police say neither speed or alcohol appear to be involved.
