EDUCATE A WOMEN! EDUCATE A FAMILY – A FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT YOUNG CHILDREN IN NEPAL
In an effort to free young females, living in Nepal, from bonded labour and give them an education, Kelowna’s own Linda Edgecombe, humorous speaker and award winning author and Ellen Churchill, jazz/blues musician have teamed up for an evening of FUN, INSPIRATION, LAUGHTER and MUSIC to be enjoyed by all. On Thursday, June 12, 2008, in support of the Inter-cultural Women’s Educational Network (IWEN), Linda will inspire you to “Shifts Perspectives at the Speed of Life” and Ellen will dazzles you with her magical songs. All proceeds from the event will be donated to IWEN in the hope we can free at least 50 young girls and provide them with a formal education for one year. The event will be held at Manteo Resort.
