The film will be followed by an open panel discussion with maternity care providers who will address the differences between the Canadian
and American models of care and explore the needs and interests of childbearing families in the Okanagan Valley.

This film interlaces intimate birth stories with surprising historical, political and economic insights into the Business of Being Born. The film’s fundamental question: should most births be viewed as a natural life process, or should every birth be treated as a potential medical emergency?

A must see film for maternal-child health care providers, parents and parents-to-be, students of women’s issues and anyone interested in the future of the human race.

You will never look at giving birth the same way.
