A delightful – and delightfully curious – rite of spring is upon us once again. The annual migration of hundreds of lobsters from the waters of the Atlantic to dinner plates in Kelowna takes place May 24.
The Rotary Club of Kelowna Ogopogo hosts its 11th Annual Lobster Dinner and Silent Auction at the Parkinson Recreation Centre. This annual event is the Ogopogo Rotary Club’s largest fundraiser of the year. It has become a must attend, and once again the 350 tickets to the dinner, dance and auction are being snapped up. Tickets: $60.00 per person The primary recipient of funds raised at this year’s dinner and auction is the new Centre for Learning at Okanagan College in Kelowna. In addition to the dinner and auction, there will also be live entertainment, including the night’s emcee, Robert Fine, Kelowna’s economic development officer by day, and entertainer by night. |
