Okanagan International Marathon (OIM)
October 3, 2008 - A number of road closures will be in affect during the OIM on Sunday, October 12. Motorists are encouraged to take extra time to get to their destination between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Visit Outdoor Events for more information.

Road Closure on Summit Drive
October 2, 2008 - Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, October 6, Summit Drive will be closed to traffic Chilcotin Cresent to accommodate the installation of a storm sewer manhole and a new storm sewer main.

Summit Drive will reopen to traffic at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 10.

Swamp Rd open
Beginning Tuesday, September 30 Swamp Road will reopen to traffic. The transportation improvements will provide an important link to Upper Mission. Motorists are to obey posted speed limit.

Update - road closure for Bernard Ave.
UPDATED October 3, 2008 - Bernard Ave. east of Ethel St. and west of Gordon Dr., will be closed to traffic to accommodate the second phase of utility improvements. The Bernard Ave. between Richter and Ethel St. intersection will be paved reopened to traffic by Friday October 10.

    30 Minute CLOSURES at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 am
    1  Hour at  1:00 pm

Monday Through Thursday ** INCLUSIVE ** :
    30 Min. at  2:30 pm

Saturday ... 
    1  Hour at  7:00 a.m.
    30 Min. at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m.

Sunday ... closures starting at 7pm ... see nights.

Minor delays throughout any day.


HIGHWAY 97 NIGHT TIME CLOSURES 

SUNDAY NIGHT through FRIDAY NIGHT  ** INCLUSIVE **

Closures on the night shift (7 pm --> 5 am) are:
 
   1 HOUR Closures:
 
        7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
        8:30 pm to 9:30 pm
        10:00 pm to 11:00 pm
 
   2 HOUR Closures:
 
        12:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. (i.e. late night, early morning)
        3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  
   Minor delays  throughout the night shift ...
